Dinan (Brittany)
Dinan is a walled Breton town which has still its 600 year old remparts and castle wall and it is located in the Cotes D'Armor Brittany. It is one of France's most attractive walled towns.
Dinan is perhaps one of the prettiest medieval walled cities in France with its 15th-century half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets. Historical attractions include: The Jacobins Theatre (1224), the Gothic St Malo's Church, The romanesque St Saviour's Basilica, the Duchess Anne's Tower and The Chateau de Dinan.
Every other year there is a festival called the "Fete des Remparts" when the locals dress up in medieval outfit and the town is decorated.
Dinan is quite a small town which attracts lot of tourists each year because of its old style charm but with over 50 bars, restaurants and creperies you are sure to find a sunny spot to relax and watch the world go by.
